Over the past 10 years, successive generations of the Steam Controller have been built using the same design principles of reliability, consistency and ease of use. The Steam Controller offered on this site is the result of five generations of design improvements and each is custom built by a leading tabletop special effects expert. Over the past 10 years of continuous use, production has never been halted due to a failure of one of these machines. They're that good.
| The Steam Controller measures 17" X 15" X 13". The frame is tubular aluminum welded to a 5" aluminum tank. The aluminum frame effectively shields the working parts of the machine from the hazards of an active set. All of its electrical connections are water tight and properly grounded. The specialized brass components and steam diffusers are hand built and the entire system is custom assembled in the USA. It arrives at your studio securely packed in a Pelican brand flight case, ready to go. You only need to provide standard 110VAC power and a small air compressor to be up and running. |
