In the above video, "It Comes Down to Rigging" (1:19), Jerry Svoboda demonstrates a rig he built to bring to life a section of the portal tunnel from Coraline. Laika Entertainment created the clip as a promotional piece for Coraline and it is "hidden" within the Coraline website. Jerry recently authored an article titled "Oregon's Stop-Motion Animation Riggers Defy Gravity" for the October 2009, Oregon Film Newsletter - Animation and Visual FX Edition, that describes the role of rigging in stop-motion animation.
